This all encompassing tour shows you the best of this most of romantic of cities – you'll take in the romantic Moorish palace complex at the Alhambra before visiting the impressive Cathedral and Royal Chapel and taking a tour around the narrow winding streets of the old town.
After meeting your friendly local guide, the first visit will be to the Alhambra. This incredible palace complex, perched high on a hill overlooking the city, was first built as a fortress at the start of the 13th century. Successions of Moorish rulers made the Alhambra their home, and the fortress grew into a medina with numerous palaces and lavish gardens. You'll be taken around the sumptuous Nasrid Palaces, the Palace of Charles V and the incredible Generalife Gardens.
Granada's impressive Cathedral was built in the Spanish Renaissance style on the site of the Nasrid Great Mosque shortly after the conquest of the city by the Catholic Monarchs. You'll also visit the Royal Chapel nearby, housing the tombs of the Fernando and Isabella. Then enjoy a stroll around the warren of streets surrounding the Cathedral, where your guide will point out the most interesting sights.
