It covers an area of 19,485 square kilometres in the provinces of Limpopo and Mpumalanga in northeastern South Africa, and extends 360 kilometres from north to south and 65 kilometres from east to west. All the Big Five game animals are found at Kruger National Park, which has more species of large mammals than any other African game reserve (at 147 species). There are webcams set up to observe the wildlife.

Day 1: Gauteng - Kruger Park

Depart from Johannesburg between 06h30 – 08h00 to allow for various collection points. We stop for lunch en-route (own expense) and reach the Kruger National Park and Skukuza Rest Camp in the afternoon.

After settling into our accommodations, you go out on your first game drive which is a sunset drive conducted by South African National Parks. A sunset drive affords you the opportunity to see nocturnal animals. Note that these drives take place in one of the Kruger Park’s vehicles with a Park's ranger. This is not a private game drive and there may be other guests on this drive. (Children under 6 years of age are not permitted on open vehicle drives.)

Dinner is a three course meal, served al fresco at our private camp within Skukuza. Wine is served with dinner but guests are welcome to bring along additional / alternative drinks which can be purchased at the shop.

Day 2: Activities in the Kruger National Park

Safaris are all getting out there and seeing animals! After an early wake-up call w set off on the morning safari which will take approximately 3-4 hours. Your guide has an intimate knowledge of the park, which contributes a great deal towards brilliant sightings!

On returning to Skukuza, breakfast/brunch will be ready at our camp. You then have time to simply relax at the viewing platform in front of the restaurant, which overlooks the Sabie River. Skukuza is also a bird watcher’s paradise! Be sure to bring along your binoculars!

After a siesta set off on the afternoon game drive.

Share safari stories at the camp fire under the stars after a scrumptious dinner served at the camp.

(An optional excursion to visit select attractions along the Panorama Route is an alternative activity that can replace one of the safaris offered today. This excursion is available free of charge and will be co-ordinated by our staff while you are on safari with us.).
