Škocjan Caves - Power of Nature

The Škocjan Caves are a unique natural phenomenon, created by the river Reka. There you will see the biggest underground canyon on the world. It’s only 30 minutes from Koper. The Škocjan Caves are on the UNESCO’s list of natural and cultural world heritage sites. The tour will take you through the underground bridge where you will cross the river over 40 m. The cave temperature is 9°C and the tour takes about 2 hours. Take a jacket and walking shoes. After exiting and before return drive back to Koper you may take education trail around the caves as well or you can enjoy some free time.
