I'll meet you in the lobby of your hotel. We'll drive to Peterhof, the favourite Summer residence of Peter the Great. It is located nearly 27 km from St. Petersburg at the South shore of the Gulf of Finland. During our drive to Peterhof I'll tell you about it's history and show you many interesting places that are not included in the City tour.
You'll see the Great Palace created by the outstanding Italian architect Rastrelly, the Lower Park, that is often called «The Russian Versailles» for the abbundance of cascades, sculptures, fountains and splendid park pavilions. I'll show you some «trick fountains» or water amusements. For example if you sit on the bench, the fountain begins to operate and you cannot excape the wall of downward jets without getting wet (It is interesting for children).
We can visit the Great Palace or one of the Small Palaces, such as the Palace of Monplaisir or the Bath House.
It will be possible to have lunch in Peterhof.
