An enchanting city built around the Tagus River, Lisbon is a world-class sightseeing destination with history and sights in equal measures. The neighborhood of Belém is known for its stunning Manueline monuments, and attractions such as Jerónimos Monastery have been awarded UNESCO World Heritage site status. So, what better way to discover Lisbon’s charms than by a hop-on hop-off sightseeing cruise?
Aboard a spacious riverboat with lower-deck and open-deck seating, admire a collection of Lisbon’s top attractions as you cruise counterclockwise from Doca de Santa Amaro to Belém, across the river to the neighborhood of Almada, and then up to the Alfama quarter. Learn about the sights from the onboard crew, and hop on or off at any of the four stops around town. The boats visit each stop once every two hours, giving you enough time to visit nearby attractions at your own pace.
Hop off at the Christ the King monument, and pose for photos in front of the iconic statue that was built to mirror the famous Rio de Janeiro monument. Go for a stroll around the Alfama quarter, taking in its charming cobblestone streets, and pay a visit to Lisbon Cathedral or the Castle of São Jorge that looks out over the city. Entrance fees to attractions are at your own expense.
With your ticket, you can remain on boat for an entire loop (roughly one hour) or you can hop on and off at any of the four stops along the Tagus River to discover Lisbon’s countless delights. Note: the boat stays docked at Doca de Santa Amaro for an hour after making the loop.
