It has the largest collection of Mudejar tiles the country. It is dominated by two large twin chimneys crowning the kitchen, the «ex-libris» of Sintra.
Guided tour to Regaleira Palace, a place with its own spirit. We continue to Moorish Castle, situated on the summits of the Serra de Sintra, the castle dates back to the time of the Moors, 8th century.
Definitely conquered, after several attempts, by King Afonso Henriques, in 1147, the first king of Portugal. The panoramic view from the top of the castle is amazing, unforgettable!
We continue to the Pena Palace, considered the 9th most beautiful palace in the world! One of the greatest examples of the romantic revival of the 19th century in Portugal. Built on the site of a former convent of St. Jerome, by order of King Fernando of Saxe Coburg-Gotha.
