Personal tour of Mafra, Ericeira and Óbidos

We will be visiting the west province of Portugal, Estremadura. We may start the day visiting the huge Mafra Convent, Portugal biggest construction possible with the gold from Brasil. From this town of Mafra dominated by its monastery we depart to seaside to visit an interesting fishing village today devoted to surf activity. Drive along the coast to reach Óbidos, a lovely medieval walled town, very well preserved. Then we return to Lisbon takling the highway.
