Take this full day tour and discover the north of Lisbon. We will leave the city through a landscape dotted with windmills and orchards, driving towards Óbidos, where we make our first stop. You’ll be charmed by the harmonious architecture of this medieval walled town, make sure you don’t leave without trying the delicious local cherry liqueur. After leaving Óbidos, our next stop will be Alcobaça. The main attraction here is the imposing church that marks the introduction of the Gothic style in Portugal where you can admire the elegant tombs of the Portuguese Romeo and Juliet, Dom Pedro and Inês de Castro. We will make a break so that you can enjoy lunch in a typical Portuguese restaurant. After that, our next stop will be Nazaré, a traditional fishing village where you will have plenty of time to discover the fascinating legends and traditions of this jewel of Portugal’s Atlantic coast. Our fourth and final stop will be Batalha, where you will be dazzled by the grandeur and delicacy of this Dominican Monastery, a late Gothic architectural masterpiece declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Here lie the remains of Prince Henry the Navigator, responsible for the early development of European exploration and maritime trade with other continents and mentor of the Portuguese maritime adventure.
