Day Program:

Join in an adrenaline-filled surf adventure as you spend the day cruising around Lisbon and checking out the best surf spots in the area. Regardless of whether you are a seasoned pro or a novice surfer, you will have a blast surfing in some of the world’s most famous waves. As an added bonus, you will also get to know the beauty of the countryside around the Portuguese capital.

Start your day with pick-up from your location in Lisbon, and bring along appropriate clothing for the weather; although the surf is good all year long, the winter can be chilly. As your van rolls through town collecting all the participants, you will have the chance to take in the sights of Lisbon. Once everyone is picked up and all the surfboards are secured, take off toward the outskirts of town in the direction of the best surf sites and sightseeing spots, like Carcavelos, Parede, São Pedro do Estoril, Estoril, and Guincho.

Stop off at Cascais for lunch, followed by a drive along the breathtaking seaside cliffs in Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe. Once your lunch is fully digested, embark on another surf session lasting the rest of the afternoon. On your way back to Lisbon, enjoy a picnic of Portuguese snacks.

 

Surf Level: Low and intermediate (ideal for first time or beginner level; mandatory: knowing how to swim).
