Admire all details of Laurel Forest, UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, from flowers and tree to birds and butterflies. Be amazed with the views of deep valleys and high mountains of Madeira island. This tour combines a short and easy walk through beautiful Laurel forest with flora and bird watching in the stunning mountainous centre of Madeira island.

First you are guided along a Levada (Madeiran water channel) through the humid and evergreen native forest to a fantastic view point. Here the Trocaz Pigeon can be scoped while Chaffinches and Robins play around you. The way back is by the same route with contrasting views and Firecrests can be seen jumping from one branch to another as day gets warmer.
