Tour begins in Mira de AireŽs Caves, discovered in 1947, a real underground cathedral, national treasure and the most extensive in Portugal.
Following this is Fatima with a visit to the shrine and to the village where the three little shepherd children were born.
The tour continues in the Monastery of Batalha. Construction was begun in 1386, as a promise made by King João I to the Virgin Mary for the victory at the Battle of Aljubarrota.
Tour ends at the Monastery of Alcobaça, founded by King Afonso Henriques. It was the spiritual, artistic and cultural centre of the Cistercians in Portugal. Both monasteries are World Heritage Sites.
