We start our tour with a visit in Camacha, where you can find the wicker work factory. From here, we head to a viewpoint in Portela going through Santo da Serra.
From here we go through the village of Porto da Cruz towards the city of Santana known for its typical A-framed houses with thatched roofs.
In the afternoon we’ll climb the mountains towards Ribeiro Frio, to visit the trout farm and do a short walk along the Levada dos Balcões.
After passing by Poiso we’ll go directly to Pico Areeiro, one of the highest peaks of Madeira (1810 m).
Return to Funchal, stopping at Monte where you can ride the wickerwork sledges most known as the “toboggan” pushed by two “carreiros” or sledge drivers.
