Klezmer Music Concert

Klezmer music in the heart of Kazimierz — Cracow's Jewish district. The performing bands present a repertoire based on Jewish culture, including both instrumental and vocal pieces performed in original languages. An additional advantage is the intimate atmosphere of the Rubinstein Hotel, named after the famous founder of a cosmetic imperium- Helena Rubinstein.

Cracow's Kazimierz district is inextricably linked to Jewish culture. The concert is an opportunity to travel to the magical land of Klezmer music. There is no better place to explore Jewish culture than the heart of Cracow's Kazimierz. Klezmer bands perform music typical of the traditional culture of Jews from the South — Eastern and Central Europe, and especially those whose music combines Balkan and Slavic motifs. Their repertoire includes both instrumental pieces and folk songs sung in Yiddish. The unique sound is the result of combining different styles of music and including elements of musical traditions from throughout the world. All songs are performed in their original language and have been re-worked by the band. We invite you to this feast of music held at the Rubinstein Hotel, named after Cracow-born Helena Rubinstein — the founder of a global cosmetics empire. Rubinstein Hotel is a fifteenth-century townhouse in the heart of the historic Kazimierz District, on Szeroka Street.
