Tucume and Museum

Today your tour starts at the archaeological complex of Tucume. Covering more than 200 hectares, the complex contains 26 great buildings associated with lesser structures such as squares, walls, patios and canal systems. Such monumental architecture reflecs a planned growth and the complex social structure prevailing in Lambayeque. Tour the site museum for a further understanding of the societies that inhabited the area (Lambayeque, Moche, Chimu and Inca). Atop Cerro Purgatorio ""Purgatory Hill"" the panoramic view dominates the valley and there ir no doubt this was for sure a ritual scenario. Finally, transfer is ready to take you back to your hotel.
