Trekking Llanganuco - Santa Cruz 4/3 This is one of the ecologically diverse and scenic trails among the earths mountain ranges.while hiking beneath dozens of iced peaks many of them 6000 meters above sea level,such as the world famous Huascaran 6768 m., 6655 m. Huandoy 6395 m,chacraraju 6112m, chopicalqui 6354m,Alpamayo 5947m, and taulliraju 5830m, you will admire colorful lakes,tropical high Andean flora and fauna,and ancient archaeological remains.we visit Andean villages of friendly people living traditional lifestyles and participating in our educational and participating in our educational and ecotourism programs.

Day 1: Huaraz - Cashapampa - Llamacorral

Morning transfer from Huaraz to the village of Cashapampa 2900m. On the way we will pass by the airport of Anta, Carhuas, Yungay, Caraz and finally to Cashapampa where Nevado Santa Cruz is seen from the way closer to Cashapampa, a huge pyramid-shaped mountain. The hike begins with a gradual climb over the valley of Santa Cruz. The first two hours walk on a gradual climb, as passing hours, the valley is shown more open with a fabulous stage and walk easy access. Camp close to the river at a place called Llamacorral 3760m
Approximately 6-7 hours of walking.

Day 2: Llamacorral - Taullipampa

We will walk trough the valley until we arrive to our camp Taullipampa 4250 meters. During the walk we will observe the Caraz, Pumapampa snowy twin peaks of the famous mountains of Quitaraju and Alpamayo. We will walk through the two lakes, first the smallest Ichic cocha special habitat of birds and aquatic flora; then the largest one, Jatuncocha meaning large lagoon. The camp is surrounded by huge mountains like Paria, Artesonraju, Jancarurish, Pucahirca, Rinrijirca, Millishraju, Nevado Aguja, Pyramid of Garcilaso, Santa Cruz, Quitaraju and Alpamayo.

Our second camp is Taullipampa, spend the night under the gaze of the imposing Taulliraju, we will see this mountain very closer the next day from the Punta Union 4750m step.
Approximately 6-7 hours of walking

Day 3: Taullipampa - Punta Union - Paria

We will walk for about of two hours and half on a stone road to the pass of Punta Union 4750msnm., Where the streams of Santa Cruz and splendid Huaripampa is observed, describing where we come from and where we walk, so the above snowy increasingly impressive mountains closer to us. After a few moments remained at altitude again we begin to descend upon a rocky path through two small lakes in the Huaripampa ravine. We take a rest at Paria area under the snow mountains from the same name. And finally continue to the third camp 3900msnm Paria, From where the view is still breathtaking Taulliraju the Rinrijircas, Pucahircas, Quitaraju, the Santa cruz, Artesonraju, Pyramid of Garcilaso, Paria, Millishraju, etc.
Approximately 6-7 hours of walking.

Day 4: Quebrada Paria - Vaqueria - Huaraz

After breakfast we begin again to descend on a rocky path along the river passing by Huaripampa ravine. We take snaks continue our trek, we descend into the valley passing through Yurma, Huaripampa, until you reach the village of Colcabamba Chacraraju mountain spectacular view. On the way we will find many local children. We will continue our trek to vaqueria
About 5 hours walk.

We aboard the busfor the next pass, Portachuelo de Llanganuco, where from you will observe the most important mountains of the Cordillera Blanca: Huascaran 6789m this is the highest peak of Peru, the four peaks of Huandoy, King of the Cordillera Blanca ; Chopicalqui, Chacraraju Yanapaccha, Pisco and beautiful lagoons of Llanganuco (Chinancocha and Orconcocha); Return to Huaraz.
