New Inca Jungle Tour to Machu Picchu

Our New Inca Jungle tour is a combination of biking to hiking for sports enthusiasts and others who want a wonderful energetic Peruvian adventure. and want to know more about the new and recently Inka Trail who was uncovered in the year 2003, with stunning and unknown views of Machupicchu, The New Inca Jungle tour is offered year round in either: a 4 Day / 3 Night, or 3 Day / 2 Night option.

Day 01 Inca Jungle: Cusco — Abra Malaga — Huamanmarka — Santa Maria

Early morning (aprox. 6:00 a.m.) we will pick you up at your hotel. We will drive  passing through the towns of Chinchero, Urubamba, and Ollantaytambo which are all part of the Sacred Valley. We will arrive at Abra Malaga's Pass 4 316 m. (14 160 ft.) and appreciate the majestic snowcapped mountain Huacay Willca (Verona), from where we will start our Inca Jungle's biking adventure, as we descend through different ecological zones including high puna area, the tall knotty woods which include a wide variety of flora and fauna. Taking a short break at the archaeological remains Huaman Marq'a before reaching the town of Santa Maria 1200 m. (3937 ft.) where we will stay, overnight, have dinner and breakfast.

Day 02 Inca Jungle: Santa Maria — Qellomayo — Baths — Santa Teresa

After breakfast we will drive about 10 minutes to the town of Santa Rosa where we start our Inca Jungle walk along the Inca Trail (Qapaqñan) viewing a wide variety of birds including parrots, hummingbirds and eagles. We will observe crops including cassava, and the coca plant (sacred leaf of the Incas), coffee, banana, orange, and mango trees. We will have a brief rest in the village of Pispitayuc where you could relax in the hammocks and enjoy the mischief of the monkey, As we restart our walk through the beautiful landscapes of the Cordillera Vilcabamba. We´ll  have lunch in the village of Qellomayo (yellow river), then on to Cocalmayo hot springs to relax in the natural hot springs. We will finish our day in Santa Teresa town where we will spend the night, have our dinner and breakfast.

Day 03 Inca Jungle: Santa Teresa — Lucmabamba — Llactapata — Hidroelectrica — Aguas Calientes

After breakfast we will drive to Lucmabamba to begin our hike through the Inka Trail (Qapaqñan) we will be traveling on a much less populated route which was only rediscovered in 2003. As we enter the Inka Trail we will enjoy the stunning landscapes view of the majestic citadel of Machu Picchu, the  archaeological remains of Llactapata, and the main sacred mountains of the Incas like Huaynapicchu, Putucusi including the snowcapped mountain Salkantay.
After our lunch we will begin our descent towards the hydroelectric station where we will take the train bound for the town of Aguas Calientes were we will have dinner overnight.

Day 04 Inca Jungle: Aguas Calientes — Machu Picchu — Ollantaytambo — Cusco

Early in the morning (5:00am) we will have our breakfast to then go to the bus station where we will catch the first bus to Machu Picchu. After your ticket has been purchased we will start the tour of the city about three hours. Next in your free time you will climb the mountain Huaynapicchu or different sites recommended by our guide, such as Inti Punku, Machu Picchu Mountains, Inca Bridge. Finally, return by train to Ollantaytambo, and then take a bus return to Cusco.
