Inca Jungle To Machu Picchu (Trekking & Biking)

This is Inca Jungle tour is the most amazing and exciting trip to Machu Picchu biking and hiking. This is a full adventure experience among the mountains, valleys, rivers and crossing small’s villages, Coca and coffee plantations, and lots of varied native fruits. You will  walk on the old real Inca Trail which connects to the lost city of the Incas. We will take also a relaxing bath in the hot springs. This trip definitely is considered a real adventure route to Machu Picchu where we will observe the daily living of Andean and local people. Inka jungle tour Day 01: Cusco — Abra Malaga — Huamanmarka — Santa Maria

Our Inka Jungle tour start early morning (approx. 6:00 a.m.) in our transport we will be picked up you at your hotel. We will be passing through the towns of Chinchero, Urubamba, and Ollantaytambo which are all part of the Sacred Valley. As we arrive at Malaga Pass 4316 m. (14160ft.) we can appreciate the majestic snowcapped Huacay Willca (Verona) Mountains, where we will begin our cycling adventure as we descend through different ecological zones including high Puna area, the tall knotty woods cloud forest which include a wide variety of flora and fauna. Ending at the archaeological remains Huaman Marq'a before reaching the town of Santa Maria approx. 1200 m. (3937 ft.) where we will stay overnight, have dinner and breakfast the next day.

Inka jungle tour Day 02: Santa Maria — Qellomayo — Baths — Santa Teresa

After breakfast we will walk around 1 hour to the Santa Rosa Village were start our walk along the Inka path (Qapaqñan) viewing a wide variety of birds including parrots, Calibri’s and eagles. We will observe crops of Coca plant (sacred leaf of the Incas), coffee, cassava, banana, orange, and mango trees. We will have a brief rest in the village of Pispitayuc where you can relax in the hammocks and enjoy the mischief of the monkey and Capise. As we restart our walk through the beautiful landscapes of the Cordillera Vilcabamba. Half day we have lunch in the village of Qellomayo, here  we will recuperate the energies for the last part of the walk ,then we  cross near the hot springs called Cocalmayo, it is optional the visit here, from the hot springs are 45 more minutes until Santa Teresa. We will finish our day in the town of Santa Teresa where we will stay for the night, dinner and breakfast the next day.

Inka Jungle tour Day 03: Santa Teresa — Hidroelectrica — Aguas Calientes

Following the path taken by the firsts expeditionary, we will walk around 2 hours, and we’ll have the chance to see water falls. Likewise we will see coffee and coca plantations, arriving to the Hydroelectric 1,900 m.( 6,270 ft.) where we will have lunch, after that, we will continue walking along the Train track from Hydroelectric to Aguas Calientes town, in the Afternoon transfer to our Hotel. Free afternoon. We’ll get together in the night for dinner and planning the climbing up to Machupicchu for the next day.

Inka Jungle Tour Day 04: Aguas Calientes — Machu Picchu — Ollantaytambo — Cusco

Very early after breakfast (5:00am) we will start the hike  to the citadel of Machu Picchu around 1 hour with 30 minutes. In the check point we will show the entrances and get inside we will start the tour of the city about two hours. Next in your free time you will climb the mountain Huaynapicchu (optional do you have to book in advance) and tour different sites recommended by our guide, such as Inti Punku, Inca Bridge. Finally, return by train to the town of Ollantaytambo, and then take a bus to return to Cusco.
