Fullday: Pachacamac + Colonial & Modern Lima.

This tour pick you up on a private transportationl and taken south along the Panamerican Highway towards Pachacamac. Situated 30 minutes from Lima, this archaeological complex was built in 200 AD and was one of the most important pre Inca religious centres on the Peruvian coast. It originally belonged to the Ichma culture (though most of it was built by the Wari who were later conquered by the Incas), the sanctuary is located 30 kilometres south of Lima and was dedicated to the deity Pachacamac, creator of the world. After the visit, you will return to Lima to visit the Casa Luna, a house converted into a museum, which houses a unique Collection of nativity scenes. Then to the centre of the city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; there will be a stop in the Main Square, where the city was founded firstly as the City of Kings, in 1535, and then as the capital of the Republic of PerĂº in 1821, when the country gained its independence. Around it are the presidential palace, the municipality of Lima, the cathedral and the archbishop's palace, beautiful colonial-era buildings that constitute an important part of the city's identity. Then you will go to the church of San Francisco, which holds an enviable collection of old books and has a network of catacombs that is open to the public. Finally, you will return to Miraflores to see Love Park, a traditional meeting place for couples.
