After pickup from your Cusco hotel, you'll be driven to the Velasco Astete airport to board your helicopter. Take off into the Peruvian skies, marveling at the beautiful mountainous landscape below.
Fly first over the archeological site of Pisac, and then soar over the striking Sacred Valley before heading to Huchuy-Qosqo ('Small Cusco'), an archaeological site with a large number of structures, some built out of adobe and others out of stone. It's inaccessible by direct public road so not seen by as many visitors as some of the other sites - it's a definite treat to get this aerial view!
Next, fly over the fascinating Maras salt mines, followed by Moray, another archaeological site known for its unusual Incan terraces. Your last ancient site is the World Heritage-listed Sacsayhuaman, where massive stones placed tightly together make a very impressive fortress-like structure overlooking Cusco.
As you make your way back to the airport, enjoy bird's-eye views of Cusco sights like Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral of Santo Domingo.
