Travel through the stunning scenery of New Zealand's South Island to some of the finest wineries in Central Otago on this wine-tasting day trip from Dunedin. Visit four Central Otago wineries and enjoy great food on a relaxing trip. With fantastic landscapes, award winning wineries and friendly towns, the Central Otago region provides unforgettable tastes, sights and experiences.

After complimentary pickup from your Dunedin hotel, travel south through the town of Milton and through the Manuka Gorge to Lawrence, an area famous for the Gabriel's Gully Gold Rush of 1851. Here, stop for a complimentary hot beverage at the Wild Walnut Cafe.

Continue north through the rolling New Zealand countryside through the famous orchard town of Roxburgh and along the course of the Clutha River, the South Island's longest river. Arrive in Alexandra, a town home to several wineries. Here, you'll enjoy a tasting at one of the following wineries: Three Miners, Shaky Bridge, Judge Rock or Hinton Winery.

Next, head to Northburn Station, a 33,360-acre (13,500-hectare) sheep station that has diversified its traditional grazing operation to include a vineyard and winery restaurant. Enjoy a second wine tasting and a delicious lunch at The Shed that includes a selection of gourmet meats, chutneys, spreads, terrines and regional cheese platters.

Finish your afternoon with a visit to two wineries in Bannockburn, where you will taste award-winning wines. The final two wineries will be selected on the day according to the groups interests and may include Mt Difficulty, Northburn Station, Akarua, Bald Hills and Olssens Winery.
