Your tour departs from Amsterdam, taking you to Keukenhof Gardens. Since Keukenhof is one of Holland’s most popular attractions and only open for eight weeks in the springtime, it is always a busy spot. But with our tour, you get the advantage of skipping the long entrance queue and heading straight into the blossoming fields. Our guide takes you walking through the breathtaking gardens, explaining the history of the site. Next, you have the unique opportunity to meet the gardener responsible for this blooming masterpiece, who will share with you ´behind the scenes´ information.
At lunchtime, we provide you with a tasty picnic in the gardens (included in price of tour) and a chance to stroll the pathways and explore on your own. Throughout the gardens, you also see artwork and sculptures.
Next, we head to Haarlem (the capitol of the province of North Holland), passing beautiful tulip fields along the way. Haarlem is a historic city with a medieval flair and attractively located on the banks of the River Spaarne. Your guide takes you on a walking tour, sharing with you notes of interest about the city’s history, gothic architecture and culture.
