Yangon is the most exotic of all Southeast Asian cities. A walk down a typical street, the sights show noticeable commercial and traffic signs written mostly in local alphabet, not to mention the appearance of wandering monks in burgundy robes and the gilded pagodas as this is expected in this Buddhist country, and down to the locals keeping up their appearances. Here, everyone seemed to be comfortable with walking barefoot - indoors or outdoors; with faces applied with sun protection cream from the extracts of a tree branch called Thanaka; smiles reddened by bloody red juice from chewing betel nut; as well as being used to images of men wearing a sarong-like garment, the longyi.

Day 1: Yangon Morning Arrival & Sightseeing


Arrive at Yangon international Airport (the main gateway to Myanmar). Welcome by meet our local guide at airport and transfer to hotel check-in. Start Yangon sightseeing including sightseeing the historic downtown area, visit to the gilded Sule Pagoda dating back over 2,000 years and elegantly restored colonial-style buildings.

Then visit to Botahtaung Paogda near the Yangon River and visit local jetty. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, visit to Chaukhtatkyi Pagoda (Huge Reclining Buddha Image). In the evening, visit to Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the most spectacular religious monuments in Myanmar. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Day 2: Yangon- Kyaikhtiyoe (By Car)


After early breakfast, drive to Kyaikhtiyo, Golden Rock Pagoda, takes about 4 hours. Lunch at local restaurant on the way. Upon arrival at Kinpun base camp, take truck to the Yathetaung middle camp. From middle camp start walk to Mountain Top Hotel, which is not far from the Golden Rock Pagoda. After check in, start sightseeing on the pagoda platform with the highlights of the Golden Rock Pagoda, Motesoe Taung Pagoda and stalls, where the Buddhist pilgrims can get foods and shelters. Dinner at hotel and overnight at Golden Rock (Kyaikhtiyo).

Day 3: Kyaikhtiyoe-Bago Sightseeing-Yangon (By Car)


After Sunrise and early breakfast in hotel, walk back to Yathetaung, middle camp, from middle camp take truck back to Kinpun basic camp. From there drive back for sightseeing in Bago. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch start sightseeing in Bago include, Bago local market and Shwemawdaw Pagoda, higher than Shwedagon Pagoda, Kanbawzathadi Palace, which department of archaeology rebuilt on the old palace site, Shwethalyaung reclining Buddha Image, about 55 m long and Mya thalyaung reclining Buddha Image, Mahazedi Pagoda, in which the tooth relics of Buddha from Sri Lanka was enshrined before the earthquake. After the sightseeing drive back to Yangon, on the way visit to Htaun Kyunk Allied World War Cemetery. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight in Yangon.

Day 4: Yangon-Thanlyn-Kyauk Tan-Yangon (By Car)


Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast, drive to Thanlyin about 35 minutes drive from Yangon. Across Yangon -Thanlyin Bridge, port city of Ancient Mon Capital. It is the first European settlement area of Portugal, Dutch, French and English. Arrive in Thanlynn, visit to Ancient Portuguese Church (AD 1749 – 1750), Thanlynn MyoMa market and then continue to Kyauk Khauk Pagoda. Lunch at local restaurant.

After lunch, visit to the large Golden Kyaik Khauk Pagoda, on the way you will have the various scenic beauty of paddy fields and local villages’ way of life. Kyauktan where famous island Pagoda, which is known as Yela Phaya (Kyaikmhawwon Pagoda) visiting by canoe boat. Then visit to Par da Gyi Buddha Image and drive back to Yangon. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 5: Yangon Sightseeing & Evening Departure (By Car)


Breakfast at Hotel. After breakfast, visit to Scott Market (Bogyoke Aung San Market, closed on every Monday) and take a small to china town. Then, back to hotel for check out and lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, visit to Kabaaye Pagoda (The World Peace Pagoda) and Buddha Tooth Relic Pagoda. Then continue to Kyauktawgyi Buddha Image and visit to see White elephant. After that, directly drive to international airport for your departure flight.
