Come with us to see a different side to Marrakech with this full-day tour. We will start in the modern neighbourhood of Gueliz, which has echoes of its French colonial past and home to the city’s most stylish boutiques and hippest restaurants. ˂br˃˂br˃
Discover the Theatre Royal and Jnane El Harti Park, originally a French garden and zoo. Then visit the Municipal Market and admire its mind-boggling variety of flowers, food and ceramics. ˂br˃˂br˃
Afterwards, we’ll stroll through the Cyber Park, where Marrakech’s young hipsters hang out at internet terminals. ˂br˃˂br˃
The next stop is the city’s most famous minaret, Koutoubia Mosque, towering majestically over its surroundings. We’ll take a break over lunch at a traditional restaurant near Djemaa el Fna. ˂br˃˂br˃
Recharged, we’ll head down the colourful rue Riad Zitoun El Kedim to Maison Tiskiwin to see a fascinating private collection of crafts and decorative arts from southern Morocco. Then we’ll visit the Palais De Bahia, passing through the old Jewish Quarter or Mellah. Finally, we’ll stop by at the Palais El Badi, built during the reign of Sultan Ahmed El Mansour in 1578, and the Saadian Tombs dating from the same era. ˂br˃˂br˃
