Taxco and Cuernavaca

Visit two of Mexico's hidden gems, Cuernavaca, the City of Eternal Spring, located just 80km from Mexico City and Taxco, a Spanish colonial silver-mining town, on this scenic coach drive.

Cuernavaca is a beautiful small town, famous throughout Mexico for its benign climate and lush vegetation. It is also known as Mexico's Beverly Hills and many of Mexico's rich and famous have their retreats there. Some of the attractions here include the Palace of Cortes, built by the famous conquistador in the 16th Century and the town's Cathedral, a fortress-like structure also built by Cortes for the Franciscan Order.

Then sit back and enjoy the scenery as we continue on to Taxco. This pretty little town with its cobbled streets, shady squares and vibrant marketplaces was once known throughout the world as the City of Silver. Here we will visit a silver mine and learn how different alloys are made. After lunch there will be plenty of time to explore this lively town and you will be able to snap up some of Mexico's beautiful jewellery and handicrafts before we board the coach for the drive back to Mexico City.
