Go diving on a coral reef off Hol Box Island and meet some of Mexico's gentle giants, the massive whale sharks. The Yucatan Peninsula is one of the few places in the world where you can go for a swim with the world's largest fish in an experience you will never forget. Once we spot a whale shark, you'll have the opportunity to jump in the water and swim alongside these gentle animals. You should also keep your eyes peeled for dolphins and manta rays.
This part of the Yucatan Coast is also known for its abundance of bird species, including brightly coloured flamingoes. A biologist/naturalist will be on hand throughout the day to answer questions you may have about the whale sharks and the other wildlife you'll see during your adventure. They will also provide you with information on how to interact with the different creatures to ensure you have a safe and fun experience. Afterwards, we'll head for Isla Mujeres where you can enjoy a buffet lunch.
This half-day excursion takes around 6 hours. You will be picked up from your hotel at 07:00 returning at 14:30. This excursion includes all transfers, the services of an English-speaking guide, as well as a continental breakfast and buffet lunch. All diving equipment is included.
Remember to bring biodegradable sunscreen, swimsuit and towel, comfortable clothes and footwear as well as some extra cash. Please note that sightings of whale sharks are guaranteed. In the unlikely event that there are no whale shark sightings on your cruise, you are able to take the cruise again on the following day free of charge!
