George Town After Dusk

Nightlife - Penang Style! See Penang by night at a leisurely pace. The phrase ”we live to eat” cannot be more profound than when applied to Penang. Having a rich mix of many races living in Malaysia, we are blessed with a variety of exotic foods. Join us and we will show you why Penang is known as a Gourmet’s Paradise. Enjoy freshly prepared food, dining alfresco style. Some of the many favorites include “Mee Goreng” (Malay fried noodle dish), Satay (skewered meat marinated with honey and barbecued over an open charcoal flame), Fried Rice and Fried Koay Teow (flat noodles stir fried with shrimps, cockles and egg). After dinner, visit the Eastern & Oriental Hotel. The oldest foreign hotel built in 1885. Hop on a trishaw for a slow ride through the colourful streets of Georgetown as we head for Chew Jetty. This “three wheel rickshaw”, unique to this part of the world is locally known as the “King of the Road”. From Chew Jetty, you will get the opportunity to have a full view of the Penang Bridge on a clear day, so get your camera ready for some beautiful shots of the ferry as it leaves the terminal. Return to your transport for the journey back to the hotel. Highlights: * Hawker food - taste a variety of local dishes in open air cafes * Eastern & Oriental Hotel - visit the oldest foreign hotel built in 1885 * Trishaw ride - A 3-wheeled pedicab that used to be a popular mode of transportation for the locals * Homes on Stilts - A village built on stilts over the sea and populated by members of the same clan Note: SIC & PVT tour rates INCLUDE dinner and trishaw ride. All SIC and PRIVATE tours exclude drinks during meals, unless specifically indicated
