Once a secret destination among backpackers looking for a place in the sun, Pulau Langkawi, the largest island in its namesake archipelago of 104 islands, is no longer a classified location. Langkawi is a picture of what the rest of Malaysia was in her infancy. Paddy fields, buffaloes having a mud bath against the backdrop of majestic mountains and lovely beaches makes her a tropical island in every sense of the word.
Clients can choose any of the following places of interest to visit to build up their memories of Langkawi:
•Makam Mahsuri - The tomb of a woman wrongly accused of adultery and who upon being executed, bled white blood which signified her innocence. With her dying breath, she cursed Langkawi for 7 generations and this has only passed in recent years, which is why Langkawi has now begun to prosper as a tourist destination.
•Cable Car - see breathtaking views of the islands of LGK by going on a ride to one of the highest mountain peaks.
•Underwater World - see exotic marine life.
•Galeria Perdana - The Gallery that houses an impressive collection of over 2,500 gifts and awards given by eminent world leaders to Malaysia's former Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his wife, Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali.
•Oriental Village - Duty Free Shopping.
•Atma Alam Art Gallery - Malaysian handicraft gallery.•Laman Padi - The Rice Museum, with the most comprehensive exhibition centre displaying artefacts, charts, photographs as well as actual rice-planting tools.
•Lagenda Park - scenic park with exhibits detailing the myths and legends of the island in mini sculptures and statues.
