Curonian Spit is a peninsula that is washed by the waves of the Baltic Sea on one side and by the water of the Curonian Lagoon on another. This is also the territory of the town of Neringa, which is formed by four fishermen villages: Juodkrante, Prieila , Pervalka and Nida, hills, pine forests and dunes - the main wealth of the park. In 2000, the Curonian Spit was included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
