This morning we will leave from the hotel to visit the minority villages of Ban Xom and Ban Thapene. Drive on to see the huge spectacular Khouangsi waterfall where we can splash around in the pools or walk along the cool forest paths. We’ll have a picnic lunch at the falls. We return to Luang Prabang to visit the National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign. We then have short visits to Wat Visoun, the shrine of Wat Aham and Wat Mai, before going back to hotel in the late afternoon.
