After leaving the Sistine Chapel, you will have direct access to St. Peter's Church which is allowed only to official guided tours. All other visitors are forced to exit the Vatican, take the long route to St. Peter's, and line up again to get inside. If you wish to stay on and spend more time in St. Peter's church with a guide, our extended (3) hour Vatacombs tour of the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's may be a better choice.
