BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE TOUR
The trail takes you along the alpine pastures of the head of the Val di Rhêmes. From Thumel village (1. 879 m asl), we will follow the easy itinerary that leads to the Benevolo Refuge (2.285 m asl). Next, we will travel the local path number 13D, which climb with steep switchbacks the orographic left slope of the valley until we reach the “comba goletta”. After about 3.00 h 3h 30 min of walking we will arrive to Lake Goletta (2.699 m asl), from which we can admire the homonym glacier which once lapped the shores of the lake. The return path is shared with that we went up before until the “comba goletta”: From here we will proceed along the north-south direction along the local path 14A that will lead us to the place of departure.

DESCRIPTION OF THE TOUR
The trail takes you along the alpine pastures of the head of the Val di Rhêmes. From Thumel village (1.879 m asl), the trail follow the easy path that leads to the Refuge Benevolo (2.285 m asl), which will be reached after about 2 hours of walking. Next, we will proceed along the local path n°13D, which exceeds the steep step of confluence wich separate the “comba goletta” from the main valley floor. Then the itinerary follows the river outlet of the lake Goletta (2.699 m asl) and, after about 3.00 h, 3h 30 min of walking, we will arrive at the aforementioned lake where we will take our lunch break. From here we can see the goletta glacier that once lapped the shores of the homonym lake. The return route is common with the way we previously done until the end of the aforementioned “comba goletta”: from here we will proceed along the north-south direction on the local path 14A that will lead us to the place of departure.
PRICE
The fee is 130 € for the day, whatever the number of participants. Because it requires a good workout, the tour is only recommended for adults or children trained over the age of 10 years

spare shirts, pail or sweater, waterproof jacket, pants, trekking boots, wool hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, backpack trips (just a capacity of 25-30 liters) , drinks, lunch
Recommended: trekking poles, water bottle, camera

IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER
In case of bad weather, we can visit the park’s visitor center in the village of Chanavey and proceed along a short route along the valley floor that connects Chanavey to Bruil with a fee of 70 € for an half-day
