We’ll kick-start our day with a skip the line Colosseum tour, bypassing long queues to gain access to this magnificent structure. Follow your English-speaking guide as they lead you to the best vantage points inside the Colosseum, telling you the stories and pointing out the details that bring an old ruin to life.

Our tour through Ancient Rome continues on to the Roman Forum, once the heart of the city where money sellers, butchers and barbers plied their trade and then on toPalatine Hill – the spot where it all started. Legend has it that this is where Remus and Romulus were raised by their wolf mother and where Romulus decided to found his empire. It’s also home to the city’s oldest ruins and its best views.

We’ll take a well-deserved break next for lunch in the historical center of the city. Your guide will recommend a spot or you can follow your nose to one of the countless trattoriasand pizzerias around the area. You must arrive to BOTH individual meeting points on your own and check in both times. We recommend that guests use the metro to travel from the end point of their morning tour to the start point of their afternoon tour.

AFTERNOON TOUR

Departure Time: 03:30 PM

Meeting point: Near the metro station entrance in Piazza di Spagna at the third of the five palm trees (at the central tree). Your Dark Rome coordinators will be wearing blue Dark Rome polo shirts or jackets for easy recognition.
