Renaissance Tour and Dinner

This is an evening tour of the city that lasts approximately one hour.  We will begin the tour at SS. Annunziata by admiring the architecture of Brunelleschi, the main Florentine Renaissance architect.  Next we will pass through the door of the Baptistery and admire the Duomo’s Cupola also made by Brunelleschi, or as Michelangelo would call it «The big sister of the dome in Rome».  We will then see Donatello’s sculpture of St. George at the Church of Orsa San Michelle.  Also, we will see the sculpture of Doubting Thomas by Verrocchio, Leonardo’s teacher.  We will finish the tour in Piazza della Signoria where we will observe Donatello’s Marzocco and Judith.  After the tour concludes we will enjoy a lovely Renaissance Dinner Show, “Leonardo Da Vinci and Sandro Botticelli:Cooking”.  The show takes place a few minutes from the center of Florence, surrounded by the picturesque scenery of the Florentine hills.  Featuring music, theater, sword duels, and Renaissance dishes, all presented according to the recipe book of the great Renaissance artists.
