Full day Naples and Pompeii

Takes this chance to visit one of the world’s most important archaeological sites: Pompeii and spend a day surrounded by nature and culture on this guided tour. We will leave Rome on the Autostrada del Sole driving towards Naples through rolling countryside crossing the regions of Lazio and Campania. On the way we will pass the famous Abbey at Montecassino. The first stop will be Naples where we will make a brief panoramic tour of the city, visiting the Piazza del Plebiscito, The Royal Palace, the Castell dell’Uovo before visiting the impressive ruins at Pompeii, dating from that fateful day in AD79 when Mount Vesuvius erupted, covering the prosperous Roman town in volcanic ash. A traditional lunch is included.
