Fisherman for a day: fishing off the coast

Be a fisherman for a day! You will have a special and exciting experience which will enable you to observe one of the world’s oldest and noblest job. An opportunity to become acquainted with this profession in a great place: the sea of the Levante Ligure, in particular of Sestri Levante and surroundings. You will go fishing with Nicola, Tommaso and Marta who are continuing a family tradition passed on for 4 generations. The meeting point is at theSanta Mariaboat’s mooring at theharbourofSestri Levante, in the early morning. After half an hour of navigation, you will haul the fishing nets that the fishermen had previously set out in the sea. You will also enjoy a breakfast with focaccia, typical Ligurian products, coffee, tea, cappuccino and a good white wine. After the pleasant break you will cast again the fishing nets and then come back inshore where it will be possible to stop for having a bath and snorkelling in a beautiful cove hidden by the rocks. In the meanwhile the fish is cleaned and the lunch prepared with the fish caught in the morning… In the early afternoon, satisfied, you sail back to the port.
