Cooking Lesson

If you want to live a real Italian experience and spend the day like a native, follow Mario and Rachel, who are 2 certified Cheese Tasters and Sommeliers, through the characteristic outdoor fruit and vegetable market inPadua’s Piazza delle Erbe, choosing the seasonable produce that is the secret of Italian cuisine.

 

When you finish visiting the colourful market stands, your next stop are the gourmet shops under the Palazzo della Ragione, where your senses are sure to be delighted by these little shops set in this medieval building.

We’ll join the locals in a glass of Prosecco in one of the oldest wine bars of the city, before heading to a private house where your professional chef will introduce you to the wonderful, but simple, world of Italian cuisine.

Chef Vito will describe the day’s menu that you will prepare together. Your menu includes an appetizer, first course, second course, side dish and dessert — all paired with wines suggested by the sommelier. After you hard work in the kitchen, you will all sit down to enjoy your creations.  Before saying goodbye, enjoy a traditional moka caffe and a glass of a local after-dinner drink.

This lesson will be led in an relaxed and warm atmosphere where you can fully appreciate not only the recipes and culinary techniques, but also the true spirit of Italian Slow Food.

We will meet inPadua’s Piazza delle Erbe. at10:00 a.mand finish at3 p.m.

If you want you can also organize a pick-up and drop-of  by car from/toVeniceat a extra cost of and/or also a shopping walk inPaduaat the end of the lesson (at an additional cost).
