1st day
Arrival and accommodation on a farmhouse in Salento.
2nd day
Free morning.
In the afternoon, mini-workshop of folk dances on a farmhouse with a dancer who will show you not only the steps but also recount the historical and legendary origins of pizzica. Dinner on the farmhouse.
3rd day
Departure forTorrepadulito visit a tambourine workshop, the basic instrument of Salentinian and Southern Italian folk music. Followed by a sword dance performance, a peculiar style of pizzica folk dancing. Lunch on the farmhouse. Afternoon visit to Specchia, one of the most scenic towns in Salento. Return to the facility and dinner.
4th day
Free day. Dinner on the farmhouse.
5th day
Departure for Lecce and a visit to the capital of Apulian baroque. Lunch at a restaurant in the Old Town of Lecce. Afternoon visit to a cellar and tasting of Apulian wines. Return to the facility and dinner.
6th day
Departure for Galatina, the heart of the tarantismo phenomenon. Visit to the Mother Church, one of the biggest churches in the Lecce baroque style, and to the Saint Paul Chapel. Followed by a visit to Corigliano d’Otranto, heart of the Grecìa Salentina. Lunch in a restaurant of grika cuisine. Afternoon visit to Otranto, Gate to the East. Return to the facility and dinner.
7th day
Departure for the airport.
