A treasure box amongst mountains and the seaside

Departure from Urbisaglia, a nice medieval town not far from Macerata: sightseeing tour of the city and the medieval Fortress (Rocca). Later on, guided tour in the Archaeological Park of Urbs Salvia, the largest archaeological park in the Marches: you're going to see the Reservoir, the Theatre, the Edificio a nicchioni, the Sanctuary-complex dedicated to the Salus Augusta (Temple and Cryptoporticus) and the Amphitheatre, together with the city walls and two funeral monuments.
Not far from here: the Abbey of Chiaravalle of Fiastra, a cistercian abbey where you can see the church, the cloister, the lay brothers' refectory, the cellar, the chapter house and the grottoes. All around the Abbey, a large Nature Reserve to walk within.
The Archaeological Park of Urbs Salvia and Chiaravalle Abbey are only 20 minutes drive from the coastline, 15 minutes from Macerata and 30 km from the Sibillini National Park.
