Tawang is a popular tourist destination thanks to the well-preserved Tawang Monastery. The Sela Pass rises steeply and is covered with snow for most of the year. Jang waterfall is a big tourist attraction. The name Tawang means Chosen Horse. It is also known by another Tibetan name, Galden Namgey Lhatse, which means a true name within a celestial paradise in a clear night.

Most of the travel from the plains is on a steep hill road journey, crossing Sela Pass at 4,176 metres (13,701 ft). Tourists can travel to Tawang from Tezpur, Assam by road. Tezpur has direct flights from Kolkata. Guwahati, Assam, is 16 hours by road. In June 2008, a daily helicopter service from Guwahati was started by the Arunachal Pradesh government

Day 1 - Guwahati to Nameri (6 Hrs)

Pickup from Guwahati & transfer to Nameri. Enroute visit Kalibhumura Bridge. After 6 Hrs drive we reach at Nameri. Over night at Hotel.

Day 2 - Nameri to Dirang (8Hrs)

After breakfast check out from hotel Dirang Enroute visit Hornbill Point, Nechephu Falls, Nagmandir, Tenga Valley. Over night at Hotel.

Day 3 - Dirang to Tawang (9Hrs)

After breakfast check out from hotel & drive to Tawang enroute visit Hot Spring, Sela Pass (13,700ft), Paradise Lake, Jaswantgarh War Memorial. Over night at Tawang.

Day 4 - Tawang Local

After breakfast visit Tawang Local. i.e.- Tawang Monestery (2nd Largest Monastery in Asia), Urjelling (Birth Place of 6th HH Dalai Lama), New Monastery, Ani Gompha, War Memorial, Craft Center. Over night at Tawang.

Day 5 - Bumla Pass & Madhuri lake by Local Taxi (Direct Payment)

After breakfast go for Bumla Pass and Sangester Lake (Madhuri Lake) sightseeing. After sightseeing back to Tawang. Over night at Hotel.

Day 6 - Tawang to Bomdila (7Hrs)

After breakfast check out from hotel & drive Bomdila & enroute visit Nuranang Fall at Jang, GRL Monastery(Upper Gompha). Over night at Dirang

Day 7 - Bomdila to Guwahati (10 Hrs)

Check out from hotel drive to Guwahati enroute visit Tippi Orchid Sanatorium. Drop at Guwahati Railway Station or Airport for onward journey.

• Any personal expenses. (Brahmaputra River Cruise, Railway & Air Fare, Entry Fess etc)
• Any cost arising due to natural calamities like landslides, road blocks etc (to be borne by the clients directly on the spot).
• Camera/video Camera charges.
• Additional sightseeing or extra usage of vehicle, other than mentioned in the itinerary
• Any increase in taxes or fuel price, leading to increase in cost on surface transportation & land arrangements, which may come into effect prior to departure.
• Vehicle & Passenger Entrance Fees & Guide charges.
• Travel Insurance
• Goods and Service Tax (GST)
• Anything which is not include in the inclusion.

Cancellation Policy

• In the event of cancellation of tour / travel services due to any avoidable / unavoidable reason/s we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows: 60 days prior to arrival: 10% of the Tour / service cost 45 days prior to arrival: 20% of the Tour / service cost 15 days prior to arrival: 25% of the Tour / service cost 07 days prior to arrival: 50% of the Tour / service cost.
• Less than 72 hours or No Show: No Refund In case of Special Trains Journeys and peak season hotel bookings a separate cancellation policy is applicable (which can be advised as and when required).
  Some cancellation and refund policies are out of our tender: Refund for hotel payment will follow the hotel’s cancellation policy Train tickets cancellations will follow the Railway’s policy Flight tickets cancellations will follow the airlines company policy In case you cancel the trip after commencement, refund would be restricted to a limited amount only which too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers/ contractors we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation & missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.
