Delhi – Srinagar – Gulmarg – Pahalgam – Sonamarg – Kargil – Lamayuru-Leh- Nubra Valley- Tsomoriri Lake- Delhi
Day 01: Delhi – Srinagar — ( 1730m) Meet upon arrival and transfer to Deluxe Houseboats. Late afternoon Shikara ride on Dal Lake visiting floating and Vegetable gardens etc. Also witness walnut woodcarving and papier machie making demonstration. Dinner overnight in Deluxe Houseboats.
Day 02: In Srinagar — Morning sightseeing of Mughal Gardens visiting Nishat Bagh (Abode of pleasure) built by Asif Khan brother in law of Jehangir in 1632 AD. And Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love) built by Jehangir for his wife Empress Noor Jehan. All the gardens are situated on the bank of Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountains in the background. The distance from Srinagar to the said gardens is about 12 and 15 kms respectively. Enroute visit carpet-weaving factory. Dinner overnight in Deluxe Houseboats.
Day 03: Srinagar — Gulmarg –(2730m) — Drive to Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers) 2730 Mts. above sea level. The distance – of 60 kms will be covered in about 2 hrs. Gulmarg has one of the best Ski slopes in the world and highest golf course of the world with 18 holes. One can also have the view of Nanga Parbhat if weather permits. The view enroute from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is fascinating. One can also have a short trek upto Khilangmarg which can be covered in about 3 to 4 hrs. Chair Lifts for mountain ride are also available. Lunch will be carried from the Houseboat. Dinner overnight in Hotel at Gulmarg.
Day 04: Gulmarg — Pahalgam – (2400m) Leave Gulmarg after early breakfast and drive to Pahalgam (Valley of Shepherds) via Srinagar. Drive through Saffron fields, visit Awantipura ruins (1100 years old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiwareman). Drive through the pine forest and along Lidder River. The total distance of about 140 kms will be covered in about 4 hrs. On arrival in Pahalgam, transfer to Hotel. Lunch, Dinner and overnight in Hotel at Pahalgam.
Day 05: In Pahalgam — Free for individual activities. Dinner overnight in hotel at Pahalgam.
Day 06: Pahalgam — Srinagar -Drive back to Srinagar from Pahalgam and transfer to deluxe Houseboats Dinner overnight in Deluxe Houseboats.
Day 07: In Srinagar — A Free for shopping and other individual activities. Dinner overnight in Houseboats.
Day 08: Srinagar — Sonamarg – Kargil- ( 2740m) Drive to Kargil via Sonamarg. The distance of about 83 kms will be covered about 2-½ hrs. Sonamarg lies in Sindh Valley streamed with flowers and surrounded by mountains. Sonamarg is also the base for some interesting treks to the high altitude of Himalayan Lake. Drive from Sonamarg to kargil transfer to Hotel, for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 09: Kargil — Alchi – Lamayuru (2450m)
Morning after breakfast, proceed for Lamayuru. Explore villages around the area. Lamayuru is a beautiful, nature endowed, little hamlet. The gompa completely overshadows the village and is the most famous and spectacular monastery in Ladakh. On the way also visit the Alchi Monastery famous for the 1000-year old wall painting, which make this visit more than worthwhile. Return to hotel / Camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10: Lamayuru -Leh –(3500m) — Drive to Leh &transfer to Hotel, Dinner & overnight in hotel at Leh.
Day 11: In Leh — Today Local sightseeing of Leh visiting Kings Palace, Leh mosque and Shanti Stupa. Just walk around and visit the Bazaars you would come across diverse cross section of inhabitants thay all are very polite and of assistive nature. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 12 & 13: Leh – Full D ay Festival ( Dak-ThokTse-Chu) 11 & 12 0f August
Full day enjoy the fesitival activities and local souvenier shoppings. Dance with the locals, interact with the Lamas or enjoy shooting the show with your Camera. dinner & overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 14 Leh — Thiksey — Shey – Hemis.
The Great monastery of Thiksey towers on a steep rocks at the periphery of an oasis on the right bank of the Indus. This monastery belongs to Elugpa order (Yellow sect). The layout of the monastery complex resembles the Potala palace in Lhasa.
Shey: the Shey palace also known as Khar Chung was built by Senge Namgyal in the beginning of the 17th century. It was erected on the ruins of an already existing castle. Shey monastery belongs to red hat order.
Shankar: this monastery belongs to Gelugpa order (Yellow sect) and was founded by the last Skushog Bakula as a branch monastery of Spituk during the turn of the century. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 15 Leh - Phyang & Spituk monasteries.
Phyang : lies away from Indus to the far right at the ridge between Nimu & Leh. Phyang belongs to red hat order and was founded in the 16th century by Kungda Grangs-Pa.
Spituk : the origins of which date back to the A.D 11th century, was built in its present form in the 15th century. Evening free to rest. Dinner & overnight at hotel.
Day 16 & 17: Leh – Drive to Pangong Lake night in guest house.
Day 18: Leh — Khadungla Pass — Nubra Valley
Leave after breakfast 5/6 hours drive (120 Kms) will take you to Nubra Valley, passing through Gangles villages the road than rises to reach Khardongla pass ( 5600 Mtrs) the worlds highest motorable road. The road then passes through a bridge laid on Glacier, which finds its way in Guiness book of world records. Check in at Camping and lunch at Camp. Afternoon short drive will take you to Panamic, which is famous for its hot sulphur spring. In the evening return back to the Camp. Dinner and overnight at Hotel.
Day 19: Nubra — Sightseeing
After breakfast leaves and visit interesting places of the Nubra valley visiting Sumur monastery, which is 265 years old. Diskit is the headquarter of the present administration set up of Nubra Valley but from the historical and tourist point of view diskit is famous for its 515 years old Buddhist monastery situated on a hill top giving panoramic view of the valley. Short drive will take you to Hunder to enjoy the sand dunes and bacterian camels. One can have Camel ride on the availability of the camels. In the evening return back to the Camp. Dinner and overnight at Hotel.
Day 20 : Nubra — Leh
Leave after breakfast and drive back to Leh by the lunchtime you will reach into the hotel. Lunch at hotel. Afternoon free for personal activities. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 21: Leh — Tsomoriri Lake ( 240 kms )
Early morning we drive to Tsomoriri Lake along the right bank of Indus river passing through different villages till Mahe bridge. From here drive along the rough dust road through Sumdo and Thatsang Karu Lake. Overnight stay in camps.
Day 22: Tsomoriri Lake
After breakfast we walk to Korzok village to visit the monastery which is 350 yrs old belonging to the Yellow Sects and we can enjoy the spectacular view of the lake, then walk up to nomadic area. Overnight in Camps.
Day 23: Tsomoriri — Leh
Morning leave back for Leh. Arrive Leh and check in at Hotel for overnight stay.
Day 24: In Leh — A Free for shopping and other individual activities. Dinner overnight in Hotel.
Day 25: Leh – Delhi – Fly back from Leh to Delhi
