Summary

Srinagar is a beautiful place to look for in Jammu and Kashmir. Kargil is 204 kms away from Srinagar and en route to Kargil, one can see Sonamarg, drass village-the coldest village in the world. En route enjoy the views from Tiger hill, tololing.

Next on the way is Alchi, enroute visit Mulbek, Lamayuru, Moon landscape, oldest monastery of Ladakh, Living Budhha Sculpture on Rock Mountain and several other things. From Alchi leave for Pangong lake which is located at 14,500 feet. It passes through Changla Pass located at 17,350 feet. 

Next is Nubra Valley enroute where you pass through Khardungla, the highest motorable pass in the world. From there visit Deskit, Hunder villages and indulge in camel safari between Deskit and Hunder Villages.

Return back to Leh from Nubra Valley. On the way visit the Deskit Monastery. From here fly back to Leh.

Itinerary

Day 01: Srinagar to Kargil (204 Kms) Morning After breakfast leave for Kargil, by visiting Sonamarg (Known As Meadow of Gold), Drass Village (2 Coldest Inhabitated place in the World), Enroute have a magnificent view of Kargil war Famous Peaks (Tiger, Tololing), reach Kargil by evening. Overnight Hotel.

Day 02: Kargil to Alchi (160 kms) Morning after Breakfast leave for Alchi, enroute visit Mulbek, Giant Living Buddha Sculpture on Rock Mountain, Lamayuru, the oldest Monastery of Ladakh and Moon Lamdscape. Arrive Alchi by evening. Overnight Camp.

Day 03: Alchi to Leh (70 Kms). After Breakfast leave for Leh enroute visit Alchi, Likir Monastery, Magnetic Hill, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara and Hall of Fame. Reach Leh by Evening. Overnight Hotel.

Day 04: Leh to Pangong Lake (160 Kms) After Breakfast leave for Pangong Lake 14,500 ft, through Changla Pass 17,350 ft. (third Highest Motorable road in the world.) Overnight Camp.

Day 05: Pangong Lake to Leh (160 Kms) After Breakfast drive back to Leh, enroute visit Hemis, Thikse Monastery and Shey Palace. Overnight Hotel.

Day 06: Leh to Nubra Valley (120 Kms) After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the World, 18,380 ft). Arrive at Deskit by Afternoon. Rest of the day  one is free to explore Deskit, Hunder Villages and camel Safari in Sand Dunes between Deskit  and Hunder Village.  Overnight Hotel.

Day 07: Nubra Valley to Leh (120 Kms) After Breakfast visit Deskit Monastery and drive back to Leh by same Route, crossing Khardungla Pass. Overnight Hotel.

Day 08: 06,00 hrs. Transfer to the airport and fly back to Delhi with Sweet Memories of Ladakh.
