Ladakh is a mountainous region in the disputed northwest Jammu and Kashmir area in north India and in the area known as the Trans-Himalaya. It's slightly smaller than Scotland, the settled population live between 2700m and 4500m, and nomadic encampments even higher, and it's the largest and the least populated region of Jammu and Kashmir.

Day 1: Leh

On arrival at Leh airport, you will be met by our representative and transfer you to Hotel. Lunch at hotel. Complete day for rest to get acclimatize with the high altitude in Leh (Ladakh) which is 3500 Mtrs above sea level. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 2: Leh (Visit Shey + Thikse + Hemis Monasteries)

After early breakfast full day sightseeing of Shey, Thiksey & Hemis. Shey was the summer Palace of Ladakhi Kings and is where you can see the 36Ft. high statue of Buddha made of copper and covered with gold. Thiksey : The twelve storied monastery of Thiksey is situated in the most prominent of positions, lies on an island Mountain. Finally visit; Hemis : Farthest away from Leh, this is the wealthiest Monastery in Ladakh belonging to the Red Sect - it is here each summer that plays are held and Ladakhis from all parts of the country will visit Hemis. Evening return to Leh. Meals and overnight at Hotel.

Day 3: In Leh (Visit Stok Palace + Leh Palace + Shanti Stupa & Leh Market)

After breakfast visit Stok palace which houses a fine private museum. There is a superb collection of thangkas, said to be the best in the world. In the afternoon visit Leh, a fascinating labyrinth of winding streets and quaint bazaars. The main street is open and airy, with rows of shops on either side. On either side of the market are seen a long line of Ladakhi women in traditional dress and colourful jewelry of coral and turquoise, seated behind enormous baskets, selling vegetables. The spectacular eight-story Leh Palace looming above, overlooking the town, was built in the 16th century, about the same time as the Potala in Lhasa which it resembles. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Leh - Khardongla Pass - Leh (85 Kms)

After breakfast day excursion to Khardongla pass which is the highest motor able pass in the world 5600 Mtrs and has been recorded in the Gunnies Book of world records. At the top enjoy the nature beauty of snow capped mountains. Afternoon back to the hotel and time for your personal shopping and explore market and surrounding. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 5: Leh (Excursion Alchi - 67 Kms)

Morning drive to Alchi for approx 2 hours’ drive. Situated to the west of the town of Leh. Built by Translator, Rinchen Zangpo, it dates back to the year 1000 AD. Alchi Gompa in Ladakh comprises of a number of blessed temples, including the main one of Rinchen Lhakhang at Lotsa Lhakhang. The other temples are the Jamyang Lhakhang (Manjusri temple) and the Sumtsag Lhakhang. Alchi Monastery of Leh Ladakh reflects an Indian touch, especially in its paintings. Back to Leh and overnight.

Day 6: Leh - Delhi

Transfer in time to the airport to connect onwards destination flight.

    Exclusions

  • Air fare / Rail fare / Bus fare.
  • Personal expenses such as tips, laundry, phone call etc.
  • Any kind of drinks (alcoholic, mineral, and starters).
  • Monastery entrance fees, camera fees, and monument guide services.
  • Anything not specifically mentioned under the heading "Inclusion".
  • Extra nights in hotel due to ill health, flight cancelation or any other reason.
  • The services of the vehicle is not included on leisure days & after finishing the sightseeing tour as per the itinerary.
  • Extensions of the tour programme or diversions in the tour itinerary for any reasons eg. Due to bad weather, road closure, breakdown or any natural calamities.


NOTE :- Please read carefully before making Payment
All correspondence for travel arrangements should be addressed to Glacial Adventures. For the services contracted, 50% advance payment should be made for confirmation of booking & the balance amount can be paid upon arrival in India or before check in hotel (before the commencement of the services).

Glacial Adventures hold the right to decide on the amount to be paid as advance payment, based on the nature of service & the time left for the commencement of the service. Besides above, in certain cases like Train Journeys, hotels or resorts bookings during the peak season or during fairs/festivals, full payment may be required in order to hold space CONFIRMED BASIS.

Please note that such payments are NON REFUNDABLE.

Advance payment can be made through WIRE TRANSFER to our bank,or by CASH that could be deposited in any of our accounts. Upon arrival in INDIA, the payment can be made in cash

TRANSFER FROM ONE TOUR TO ANOTHER

A transfer from one tour to another of the originally booked tour will be treated as a cancellation on that tour, thereby attracting the cancellation charges as stated in these terms and a fresh booking on another.

BOOKING & PAYMENT CONDITIONS
For booking confirmation, need to pay 50% amount in company account by Checque/Cash/Net banking in our company account. Remaining amount should be paid at the time of check in at hotel.

PREPONE AND POSTPONE
For postpone/Prepone of tour packages are to be communicated in written and need to be inform us at least 7 days prior of tour date.

INR 3000/- will be charged extra for prepone/postpone.

AMENDMENTS / CANCELLATIONS

If the Client is willing to amend or cancel his/her booking because of whatsoever reasons including death, accident, illness, or any other personal reasons including non-payment of the balance payment, the Company is liable to recover Cancellation charges from the Client.All cancellations are to be communicated in written and advance amount is non refundable, besides the forfeiture of the deposit amount of the tour, a further charge will be levied as follows:-
30 days prior to departure of the tour, advance amount is non refundable, advance will be charged.
30 days to 15 days prior to departure of the tour 50% of total tour cost.
14 days to 07 days prior to departure of the tour 75% of total tour cost.
07 days to 01 days prior to departure of the tour 100% of total tour cost.
There will be no refund for NO SHOWS.

Any amendment in the original booking has to be given to us in writing. All changes will be processed only after the receipt of the same by the Company. However, if any of the amendment requests results in cancellation of one or more services, then the Company is liable to recover cancellation charges as indicated in the above-mentioned table.

The above-mentioned cancellation charges are applicable only against the main Tour and optional tours published by the Company. If the Client has booked any other services such as air / train tickets or any third party product, then the Company is liable to recover cancellation charges as per cancellation terms of respective airline / railways or the cancellation terms of respective third party. The Company is also liable to recover its service charges against booking and cancelling such services for the Client.
