Cherrapunji is a town in East Khasi Hills district in the Indian state of Meghalaya. It is credited as being the wettest place on Earth. However, nearby Mawsynram has more rainfall nowadays, and both are surpassed by Lloró, Colombia.

Day 1: Guwahati - Cherrapunji (145kms/5hrs)

Meet and assist by our representative at the Airport / Rly. Station & transfer to Cherrapunji. En route visit Umium Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. On arrival at Cherrapunji, check in at your hotel.
Cherrapunji is locally and officially known as Sohra. Cherrapunji happened to be the “Wettest place on Earth” until the Guinness Book of World records officially attributed the honour to Mawsrynram.
In the afternoon visit the Ramakrishna Mission, the beautiful waterfalls of Nohkalikai and The Seven Sister falls, as well as the Mawsmai cave, the Thangkharang park, Khoh Ramhah and Eco Park. Evening would be free for leisure. Overnight stay at hotel/resort in Cherrapunji.

Day 2: Cherrapunji - Mawlynong (74kms/3hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Mawlynnong Village. Mawlynnong Village has earned the distinction of being the cleanest village in India. It is situated 90 km from Shillong. Besides, the picturesque village offers many interesting sights such as the Living Root Bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock.
Thereafter walk through the village and visit the. Sky View, the highest point in Mawlynnong, constructed entirely by local villagers. Bamboo steps and mini-ladders crisscross through five trees, gently gaining height until you are about 18.28 meters high. In the tallest tree in the forest is a machan-like viewing platform from where you get a lovely view of the Bangladesh plains.
Thereafter check-in at your hotel. Evening would be free for leisure. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Mawlynnong/Cherrapunji.

Day 3: Cherrapunji - Guwahati (145kms/5hrs)

Morning visit Ward's Lake, Lady Hydari Park and Zoo and thereafter proceeds for Guwahati. On arrival at Guwahati, visit "Kamakhya Temple" & then transfer to Guwahati Airport for your onward journey.

Cancellation Policy

• In the event of cancellation of tour / travel services due to any avoidable / unavoidable reason/s we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows: 60 days prior to arrival: 10% of the Tour / service cost 45 days prior to arrival: 20% of the Tour / service cost 15 days prior to arrival: 25% of the Tour / service cost 07 days prior to arrival: 50% of the Tour / service cost.
• Less than 72 hours or No Show: No Refund In case of Special Trains Journeys and peak season hotel bookings a separate cancellation policy is applicable (which can be advised as and when required).
  Some cancellation and refund policies are out of our tender: Refund for hotel payment will follow the hotel’s cancellation policy Train tickets cancellations will follow the Railway’s policy Flight tickets cancellations will follow the airlines company policy In case you cancel the trip after commencement, refund would be restricted to a limited amount only which too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers/ contractors we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation & missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.
