Sea Angling

Our sea angling tour is a must-do for first-timers and experienced fishermen alike. Just breathing in the fresh air, being out on the open ocean and catching the first fish of the day make this an experience never forgotten. We go to the fishing grounds in Faxaflói, which have attracted Icelandic fishermen for centuries.

On our tours experienced captains take guests to the best fishing grounds the bay offers and offer interesting guidance and commentary. The most commonly caught fish is catfish, cod, haddock, mackerel and pollock. At the end of the tour, the crew barbecues the catch on board for those who want, fresh and without any fuss. Or you can take your catch home or to the Elding Bistro to enjoy a fully cooked meal.

Meeting point: Pick-up from your accommodation between 10.15am and 10.45am. You must call 24 hours before departure in order to confirm the pick-up time. Please be at the meeting point 15 min before the start of the tour. Tour lasts between three and three-and-a-half hours.
Languages: Guided tour in English while other languages such as German, Spanish and French are available on request.
