Government Quarter

During our tour we will experience the history of the city up close and from historical locations.

Tour route

We will begin at Potsdamer Platz and marvel at the square’s ascent and glory days, then its downfall and redevelopment. With many background stories and photos, we astonish our guests with this still ongoing transformation and also show them a hidden border watchtower and remains of the Berlin Wall.

Further along the former Death Strip, we approach the former Government Quarter. We will show you the location of the Bunker of the “New Imperial Chancellery”, and then continue onto the old Government Mile.

On the other side of the government mile is the so-called ‘Hitler Bunker’. Today, the Memorial for the murdered Jews of Europe is only a short distance away. We can admire the architecture and share interpretations as to what it means.

The Brandenburg Gate impresses all who see it with its chequered history. We pass through into our current Government Quarter. The Jacob Kaiser House captivates with its sheer size, the Reichstag with its extraordinary history and the Chancellery with its architecture.

We will explain the tunnel system in the government quarter, how laws are created and how the architects interpreted the formation of the Federation.
