Potsdam, one of the most beautiful Cities in Germany, is Capital City of the State of Brandenburg. Friedrich the Great's amazing 18th-century palace, reminiscent of the grandeur of Versailles, is surrounded by a magnificent 600-acre park. Visit the beautiful Schloss Cecilienhof, a palace which became world famous thanks to the signing of the Potsdam Agreement taking place here. Hop off at the Biospharenhalle (Biosphere) and immerse yourself in a world of tropical plants, birds, reptiles and sea creatures. Kolonie Alexandrowka is a Russian Colony in the north of the city. The colony consists of thirteen Russian-style wooden houses built in 1826. Wander around the houses and enjoy the surrounding magnificent gardens.
