7-day tour to peak of the Kazbegi mountain (Mqinvartsveri), which includes transportation, accommodation, mountain guide services and pleasant sulphur bathes at the end of tour. Georgia is well known for the ancient history and well preserved culture practiced even now, with hospitality traditions staying unchanged. This tour will be challenge for you and with local alpinist guide you will make 5-day tracking to Kazbegi peak.
Itinerary:
1st day: Tbilisi
Journey from airport to Tbilisi. Our competent guides will be taking you to the sightseeing trip, sharing with cultural and historical stories and interesting trivia about Tbilisi and Georgia. Excursion will start in an old city taking you through the monument of Mother of Georgia, Narikala fortress, Georgian bathes, recently reconstructed David Agnashenebeli Avenue, Central Market, Rustaveli Avenue, Museum of art and history. The whole trip will be done by foot and will take roughly 4 to 5 hours. During the evening you will be left with yourself to rest or sightsee independently.

2nd day: Tbilisi – Stepantsminda
Departure from Tbilisi at morning. The way to Kazbegi lays through the Georgian Military Highway, and near Gori we will cross the Pass, at a height of 2196 meters above the sea level. Sightseeing of Ananuri, which is a XVI century castle complex on the Aragvi River. We will stop in Gudauri at a landscape viewpoint. Kazbegi or officially Stepantsminda is a small town in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region of north-eastern Georgia. We will visit the Ethnographic Museum and hiking to the Gergeti Trinity Church, which is located in the mountains at a height of 2170 meters, under Mount Kazbegi.

3rd day: Stepantsminda – Meterological Station
Climbing to the meteorological station. The tour lasts 6 hours (3700 meters above the sea level). Camping at the meteorological station under the Mount Kazbegi. Kazbegi is the third highest mountain in Georgia (after Mount Shkhara and Janga) and the seventh highest peak in Caucasus Mountain range. The height of Kazbegi mountain is 5,033 meters above the sea level.

4th day: Meterological Station
Acclimatization with instructing and training near Meterological Station of Kazbegi.

5th day: Meterological Station – Kazbegi peak — Meterological Station
Tracking up to Kazbegi peak at early morning. The height of Kazbegi mountain is 5,033 meters above the sea level. Kazbegi peak, photos, break and satisfaction about maked challenge. After enjoying the view, returning to Meterological Station of Kazbegi.

If weather is bad, clouds or big wind, we are staying one more night in Meterological Station, to try tracking to Kazbegi peak, next morning.
6th day: Meterological Station – Stepantsminda – Tbilisi
Returning to Stepandsminds, 6h hiking down, departure to Tbilisi. During the evening you will be left with yourself to rest or sightsee independently.

7th day: Tbilisi
Free time in Tbilisi. You can spend the day for buying souvenirs or sightseeing the places, which you might have missed out of the first days of the tour. We suggest visiting Tbilisi sulphur baths at afternoon and we will have dinner with the accordance to the Georgian traditions, including Tamada at evening. Accommodation in Tbilisi.
8th day: Tbilisi
Transfer to airport.
