This detailed tour will allow you to step back in time and retrace the steps of the American forces. You will see Utah beach and Omaha beach - the two main beaches where the United States First Army stormed ashore on D-Day, one of the most famous days in history.
The tour also takes you to see the impressive fortifications built by the Germans to repel the Allies' inevitable attack.
During the day you can enjoy some free time to explore the American Cemetery and its moving Interpretive Center, situated in a beautiful setting overlooking Omaha Beach. It's a suitably moving location to honor the soldiers who did not return home after the war.
Please note: Due to special events taking place to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings, this tour could be amended on 5, 6 and 7 June 2014. It may not be possible to access the beaches, in which case alternative sites will be included instead.
