Otavalo Indigenous market

We begin our tour taking the Pan-American North passing through Guayllabamba were we will make a short stop to taste the delicious fruit called Cherimoya, after that we will continue passing the small villages of Guachala and Cayambe.

Just a few minutes away from Otavalo we will visit the San Pablo Lake outlook from where we can see the whole San Pablo’s mountain Lake and after this we will continue towards the city of Otavalo where we will find the famous ponchos and many handicrafts made by the Otavalo indigenous, if the day of the tour coincides with a Saturday we will have the opportunity to see what the indigenous eat as well.

Here you will have time to do some shopping and relax, after this we will take you to the beautiful city of Cotacachi, the city of leather and here you will find many things made by genuine leather and with a really good prices, here you will also have time to do some shopping and also to eat lunch.

As our last point to visit and both if the time and weather allows us we will visit Ecuador’s most beautiful Lake of Cuicocha and after this we return back to Quito.

 Some recommendations are to take sunscreen, clothes to protect yourself from the rain, use comfortable walking shoes, don’t forget to take bottle led water and some cash to pay the entrance fees and to buy handicrafts from Otavalo (optional)
