Jewish Quarter of Prague

The walking tour will take you around all the places that were preserved after the demolition of Prague's old Jewish ghetto in the nineteenth century. You'll visit five different synagogues; ranging in age from the thirteenth century Old/New Synagogue - the oldest synagogue in Europe still in use - to the nineteenth century Spanish Synagogue, built in Sephardic style for the city's Reform congregation. As well as the synagogues, you'll walk through the remarkable cemetery, which compensates for the lack of space by burying people several layers deep, and the Burial Society building.
